Albania is a Mediterranean country situated in the south-eastern part of Europe, bordered by Kosovo to north-east, Montenegro to north, Greece to south-east and Macedonia to east. The coastal part of Albania has pleasant Mediterranean type of climate and that is why, summer season is the peak time for the tourists to travel to this place. During this season, people from the hot interior regions want to escape the temperatures which reach high 30s in the month of July.
The highlands of the country have Mediterranean continental type of climate and lowlands and interiors have varied climatic conditions from north to the south. In inland towns of the plains including Tirana, there is lot of rainfall during winter season but the temperatures rarely reach freezing points. March and November are the months when high mountains experience heavy snowfalls. Autumn and spring seasons are also good times to visit the country of Albania.
