nullThe Franz Josef is the 12 kilometer long glacier situated in the Westland National Park on the West Coastline of New Zealand’s South Island. Jointly with Fox Glacier 20 kilometer to south, it is exclusive in the reality that it moves down from Southern Alps to below 300 meters above the sea level amid the lushness and greenery of a moderate rainforest.

Fox Glacier- The city of Fox has some wonderful character. In the city, at night, you could walk through the small trail to observe the glow-worms. Not far-off you could ride a bike to stunning Mattheson Lake. You can take a good overnight walk to the Welcome Flat Hut on Copeland Track. You could do 2 nights and continue on to next hut on a track. Franz Josef Glacier has the place to walk as well as see the glow-worms. If you head to Whataroa, there is the place where you will notice white herons (depending on the season), you could take jet boat ride in or you could kayak.
